The most modern infrastructure in the country for pulp operations
DP World Santos and Suzano, the world’s second largest producer of eucalyptus pulp, signed a long-term contract in 2017 to provide storage services and port logistics operations.
Inaugurated in April 2020, the new cellulose complex has a 35,000 square meter warehouse, with a static capacity to store more than 150,000 tons of raw material. This new logistical structure, destined for the storage, movement and shipment of the material, foresees a gradual volume of 3.3 million tons of cellulose.
The entire project was designed to reconcile efficiency with sustainability, as it foresees the reception of 100% of the loads through a modern railway station, integrated with the warehouse’s internal operations. The cellulose movements in the warehouse are carried out by overhead cranes, in a special technology where the operators responsible for handling the machines use a joystick (a kind of remote control) that is installed inside a command center, located meters away from the equipment , providing more efficiency and safety in operations.
